How to Fuliza Mpesa Loan

Fuliza M-Pesa is an overdraft facility by Safaricom and NCBA Bank for all M-Pesa users to complete their M-PESA transactions when they have insufficient funds in their M-PESA account. This article will show you how to use the Fuliza M-Pesa service.

How to Fuliza Mpesa Loan

Eligibility

Before you start with Fuliza, you have to meet specific requirements; you need:

  • To be an M-PESA registered user
  • Have an active Safaricom line for at least six months

If you meet those requirements, here is how to activate your Fuliza Limit:

Step 1: Opt-In to Fuliza

  1. Dial *234# on your mobile phone.
  2. Select option 0, which is Fuliza M-Pesa.
  3. Next, select 1 (yes) To get started
  4. Enter 98 more and 1 to accept Fuliza M-Pesa’s terms and conditions.

Congratulations, you’ve opted into Fuliz; you will receive a message shortly informing you of your loan limit. You can check your Fuliza limit anytime by dialling *234*5#.

Step 2: How to use Fuliza

Once you’ve opted into Fuliza Mpesa and checked your limit, you can complete a transaction when short of funds. Here’s how: To use Fuliza, usually transact on M-PESA if you have less/insufficient funds in your account.

Fuliza will then automatically kick in and use the limit provided by Safaricom, combined with your existing funds, to complete the transaction.

Or in other words, When you make a transaction that exceeds the current balance in your M-PESA account, you will receive a prompt from Safaricom to use Fuliza to complete the transaction. Select OK and enter your pin to confirm.

It is also possible to withdraw or buy airtime from Fuliza directly. To do so, do a normal transition on Mpesa and Viola! You have what you need.

Step 3: Check Fuliza Balance

You can also check your Fuliza balance by dialling *234*6*1#.

How to pay Fuliza Loan

The Fuliza repayment process is automatic. Anytime you receive money in your M-Pesa, Safaricom will deduct the amount to repay your Fuliza until the limit is restored.

This service makes it easier to manage this service.

Fuliza Charges and Tarrifs

As shown below, it will cost you a 1% access maintenance fee on your Fuliza outstanding balance. Safaricom M-Pesa Charges will still be used whenever you transact with Fuliza.

How Does Fuliza Work?

Fuliza M-PESA is a service provided by Safaricom and NCBA Bank. It enables all M-PESA customers to complete transactions with low/insufficient funds in their Mpesa accounts. It works like an overdraft facility, allowing users to borrow up to Kshs. 70,000 for 30 days.

With Fuliza, you can Withdraw and send money, pay for goods and services, or buy airtime even when you have zero balance.

To use Fuliza M-PESA, customers must first opt-in to the service by dialling *234# on their Safaricom lines and following the prompts. Once they have opted in, they can use the Fuliza M-PESA facility whenever they have low/insufficient funds in their account.
